Wesley Chapel has grown faster than almost anywhere in Tampa Bay, and the medical infrastructure has grown with it — mostly in the form of large groups where appointments run fifteen minutes and you meet whoever is available. That model works for some visits. It works poorly for the ones that need a conversation.
Where we are
Altavida Gynecology is at 25179 Sawyer Francis Lane, Lutz, FL 33559 — just across the county line, and for most Wesley Chapel addresses a 10 to 20 minute drive. If you live near Wiregrass Ranch, Seven Oaks, Meadow Pointe, Epperson, Union Park or Estancia, we are likely closer than where you currently go. Parking is directly outside the door, and the office is small enough that you will recognize the person at the front desk.
Office hours are Monday through Thursday, 8am to 5pm, and Friday 8am to 1pm. Directions and map.
What we do
Altavida is a full gynecology practice with a wellness and aesthetics side attached. For Wesley Chapel patients that usually means one of these:
- Well-woman and annual exams — screening, Pap and HPV testing, contraception, and the whole-health conversation that the visit is really for.
- Perimenopause and menopause care — the sleep, mood, fog and cycle changes that get attributed to stress for years before anyone names them.
- Hormone therapy, including Biote pellet therapy, tailored to your history rather than a protocol.
- Medical weight loss with GLP-1 medication where appropriate — and, importantly, connected to the hormonal picture rather than treated as a separate problem.
- Bleeding, pain and condition care — heavy periods, fibroids, endometriosis, PMOS and abnormal bleeding.
- Pelvic floor and intimate health — bladder leakage, dryness, and discomfort with sex, treated as the medical problems they are.
- In-office procedures — ultrasound, colposcopy, hysteroscopy and IUD placement, with Pro-Nox available for comfort.
What is actually different here
Three things, and they are related.
Appointments are long enough. The reason perimenopause goes unnamed for years is not that it is hard to recognize — it is that recognizing it requires someone to sit with the whole picture at once. That does not happen in a fifteen-minute slot.
You see the same provider. Continuity is not a luxury when you are working through a hormone plan or a bleeding workup. It is what keeps the thread from being dropped.
The care team is women. Dr. Christina Gomez, D.O. leads the practice, with Kelly Cortes, APRN and Erika Adipietro, APRN. Meet the team.
Insurance, self-pay, and membership
Medical care is billed to your insurance in the ordinary way. If you are uninsured or would rather stay out of insurance, we publish transparent self-pay pricing — you will know the cost before you book.
Your first visit does not require a membership — come see the practice and meet your provider before deciding. To continue with us after that, membership is required: it covers concierge access, direct communication with your provider, and member pricing on wellness and aesthetic services. It works alongside your insurance rather than replacing it, so medical care is still billed to your plan or paid at self-pay rates.
