It varies by treatment. Wrinkle relaxers such as Dysport and Botox typically last a few months. Hyaluronic-acid fillers such as Restylane generally last longer than that. Sculptra works differently — it stimulates your own collagen, so it builds gradually and lasts longest. Skin and laser treatments are given as a series with periodic maintenance.

Injectables are quick and most people return to their day immediately, sometimes with minor swelling or bruising at the injection sites. Energy-based treatments like Morpheus8, Lumecca and Diolaze can leave redness or mild swelling for a few days. Your provider will tell you what to expect before you book.
